One of Factor's primary objectives is to enhance its clients' competitiveness while solidifying its position in manufacturing high-value-added products characterized by operational complexity, precision, and a broader dimensional range. Pursuing these goals, the company has acquired the high-end Nakamura JX-250 multitasking lathe, significantly expanding its industrial capacity for part production.
The machine's upper unit, equipped with an automatic tool changer, delivers exceptional performance. Its 18,000 rpm milling head—the smallest on the market—is ideal for high-complexity operations. The head features an 80-tool magazine, and each turret is equipped with a 12-position "Y" axis, providing the machine with up to 104 tools for unparalleled flexibility in handling intricate jobs. Moreover, it achieves remarkable productivity by operating with up to three tools simultaneously. “This equipment combines the capabilities of a high-performance, multitasking automatic lathe with the milling capacity of a machining center,” Factor representatives explained.
The JX-250 features twin spindles arranged opposite each other, enabling the completion of parts in two setups or the production of large-format shafts, with a maximum turning diameter of 320 millimeters and a turning length of 1,650 millimeters. The machine also supports gear cutting, both internal and external.
Additionally, the lathe includes the "HAN-BEI Milling Machine," equipped with a probe and an in-process measurement system. It also integrates second-generation 3D Smart Pro AI software, featuring artificial intelligence. This innovative software allows direct import of 3D models into the Smart X system, making it the most advanced in its category worldwide.
The Nakamura JX-250 provides numerous benefits to Factor's clients. It increases production capacity, expands the dimensional range of products, and enables greater complexity thanks to its extensive tooling options. Its high productivity stems from its dual-turret automatic lathe design, combined with the advanced capabilities of a machining center, allowing for more complex operations on a single machine. In terms of quality, the lathe is equipped with measurement scales on all axes for maximum precision and a probing system for in-process part measurements.
With this multitasking lathe, the first in Spain capable of operating three tools simultaneously, Factor reaffirms its commitment to cutting-edge technology. This acquisition underscores the company's ability to provide the most reliable, productive, and flexible equipment, offering clients the most competitive solutions in the market.
