INTERMAHER DELIVERS TWO MAZAK MACHINING CENTRES TO NORCLAMP

16 February, 2021

Intermaher has delivered two Mazak machining centres to their customer Norclamp, in Irun, in the Basque Country. The company defines itself as an “integral supplier of all types of machined parts, including finishing operations”. They are specialists in the manufacture of machined splines and key pieces, prismatic parts, CNC milling, turned parts according to specifications, rectification of flat surfaces and small-scale assemblies.

Two machines with excellent characteristics

The HCN-4000 is a horizontal machining centre that combines advanced technology and outstanding value with high performance and high productivity for achieving maximum performance when working with virtually any material. The machine features a spacious work envelope with fast traverse speed and rigid reliable spindles.

With four available high-speed, high-torque motor spindle types, the HCN-4000 horizontal machining centre allows users to match spindle performance to their specific machining requirements with the proper speeds and power. It offers fast, efficient and versatile machining of a wide variety of materials from steels to non-ferrous metals.

For standard work, the machine is supplied with a 12,000 RPM headstock with 2 electrically-selected motor speed ranges providing up to 30 HP (15% duty cycle) and a maximum torque of 115 N-m.

For high-torque requirements, the machine is supplied with a 14,000 RPM headstock with 2 electrically-selected motor speed ranges providing up to 50 HP (15% duty cycle) and a maximum torque of 302 N-m.

For high-speed fast-response machining, the machine is supplied with an 18,000 RPM headstock with 2 electrically-selected motor speed ranges providing up to 47 HP (40% duty cycle) and a maximum torque of 168 N-m.

Meanwhile, the HCN-5000 horizontal machining centre allows high-speed machining of multiple work pieces mounted on large multi-pallet accessories. Its characteristics include: maximum spindle speeds from 12,000 RPM to 30,000 RPM, chip-to-chip tool change time: 2.6 seconds, axis acceleration / deceleration (X, Y and Z axes): 1.0 G and maximum table load: 500kg or 700 kg.
