Since 2017 FACTOR has been introducing measures to help monitor responsible electricity consumption through actions such as designing spaces that make the most of natural light, changing light fixtures to LEDs in all of its facilities or installing presence detectors in passageways.
In 2022, a photovoltaic system was installed for self-consumption consisting of 252 solar panels covering a total surface area of 550m2 on the plant and office rooftops. The total power generation capacity is 136 megawatts per hour annually, which represents a saving of 15%.
The company estimates that the power generated by the installation will prevent 60 tons of CO2 emissions per year.
In addition to these overhauls, small day-to-day actions are also taken to help contribute to achieving the SDGs. These are set out in the Guide to Good Environmental Practices.
