The Guipuzcoan company Talleres Altube, specialized in precision machining and the manufacturing of spindles and electrospindles, expects a 50% increase in its turnover by 2027. Based in Bergara, the company has received support from the Grupo SPRI’s industrial cybersecurity program to strengthen its defenses against cyberattacks and enhance the security of its connected systems.
Founded in 1956 and originally focused on stamping tool manufacturing, Talleres Altube underwent a management change in 2010 when Ricardo Aranzabal and Ainara Sedano acquired the company. Since then, it has diversified into machine tools and other strategic sectors, standing out for the precision and quality of its products.
In recent years, the company has made significant investments in machinery and facilities, including a climate-controlled pavilion for spindle assembly in 2016. Its 22-person workforce primarily serves clients in machine tools, defense, aerospace, stamping, and forging sectors. While its market is predominantly national, its customers have a strong international presence.
The company has also focused on innovation and digitalization, emphasizing workshop and technical office connectivity. The support from SPRI has strengthened its cybersecurity efforts, complementing other technological initiatives such as BDIH Konexio and the Renove program.
Looking ahead, the company aims to optimize its existing resources to reach €3 million in revenue by 2027. To achieve this, it will continue investing in technology and improving process precision, while also strengthening its engineering and technical office capabilities. Another key goal is to advance the automation of machine data collection, reducing reliance on manual input and improving planning and delivery times with real-time information.
With this strategy, Talleres Altube is positioning itself as a benchmark in high-precision machining, relying on digitalization and innovation as the cornerstones of its growth.
