Origins and evolutionUmec was founded in 1991 by Miguel Alierta, a former Opel employee who decided to start his own business. Initially, the company was dedicated to the production of tooling for the Figueruelas factory. However, under the leadership of Diego Alierta, the second generation, Umec has undergone a radical transformation. The plant in Malpica, which now has 3,000 square meters, is a testimony to this evolution, with significant investments in technology and production capacity.
